That crowd was savage and the stage was three feet high. The pretentious Slick and Kantner found the revolutionary role more difficult outside the studio. The Angels just wanted to party and hear some music but ended up having to change San Francisco's diapers. They should have left those crybabies to love each other. On the other hand, if the Angels hadn't saved Jagger's life we wouldn't have to look at his disgusting 80 year-old carcass nancing around even yet...that's unforgivable.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-809226290050510267.post-69724734482087505392009-12-08T16:35:21.422-08:002009-12-08T16:35:21.422-08:00As I pointed out, the Angels were responsible for ...As I pointed out, the Angels were responsible for some horrible acts. Having said that, the situation would have been unmanageable anyways. While I wasn't at Altamont, the footage speaks for itself. The front rows were chaotic. Given that the Angels could not exactly arrest and charge people for misdemeanors, the only tool at their disposal was violence. All it took was one little spark to ignite the conflict. It just so happened that the Angels provided a little bit of gasoline.Steve Lafleurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02605764574208246819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-809226290050510267.post-61499805634682255812009-12-08T12:59:11.702-08:002009-12-08T12:59:11.702-08:00as a post script:

But I don't blame them, they were young and someone had just been shot in front of the stage. That's about when I went backstage and hitched a ride outta there as well, violence and lotsa blood don't tend to help my acid trips.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06955802663989328637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-809226290050510267.post-31016022182874895282009-12-08T12:52:42.477-08:002009-12-08T12:52:42.477-08:00I was there, right there. They threatened Grace, punched Marty, and pool cue'd some poor naked tripper, that's what Grace was pissed about. Also, the Stone's didn't have to prick-tease the audience by making them wait for over an hour, but the Angel's f*cked up, big time. The audience did not start what has become known as the coup de grace of the Summer of Love, look to the Angels and the Stones as co-creators of the Altamont hell.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06955802663989328637noreply@blogger.com
